Yong (Eric) Xu is an entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist.Eric's career ranges across the fields of biotechnology, film production, information communications technology and venture capital investment. In 1999, together with Robin Li, Eric co-founded Baidu and served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer.Eric is the founder and chairman of YIFANG Group Holdings Limited, an investment holding company engaged in venture capital investments and asset management activities. He also founded three family philanthropic organizations.Eric earned his B.S and M.S. degrees in biology at Peking University, and a Ph.D. degree in Biology from Texas A&M University. Xu was also a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of California, Berkeley.
Jixun is a Managing Partner at GGV Capital with more than 12 years experience in venture capital investing and working with Asian entrepreneurs. Jixun currently serves on the board of directors of a number of companies including Qunar, Youku-Tudou, Meilishuo.com, MediaV, Aiwujiwu, etc.. Prior to joining GGV Capital, Jixun was a Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson ePlanet Ventures where he led investment efforts in Asia such as Baidu and Longcheer. Prior to DFJ ePlanet, Jixun headed up the Investment Group with the Finance & Investment Division, National Science & Technology Board of Singapore (NSTB) and was an R&D project group leader at Hewlett Packard before that. Jixun graduated from National University of Singapore with First-Class Honors degree in Engineering and received a M.Sc. in Management of Technology from the University's Graduate School of Business.
Tom Zhang has more than 10 years of Talent Acquisition experience at Silicon Valley and between U.S. and China. He helped build the early Asia Pacific team for Tesla Motors. Prior to Tesla, he worked at HR/recruiting team at Tencent America and Google. His other areas of expertise include US/China labor law compliance, executive compensation and and career consulting. He taught at San Jose State University. Tom received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University.
For over eight years starting from 2001, Jun Yu had been working consecutively at Baidu as product manager, senior product manager, product director, chief product architect, chairman of the product committee and vice president of products. Jun is one of the earliest researchers and promoters for search engines in China, and was the key person and leader of Baidu’s product design. Jun was responsible for the design of almost all consumer products launched by Baidu during its first nine years, including a number of top-notch products like Baidu Search, Baidu Tieba and Baidu Zhidao. Jun holds a bachelor degree in chemistry from Tongji University.
Song Hu is a co-founder and the president of Haizhi Technologies. Song worked successively as the leader for Baidu Spider and the person-in-charge of mobile search products at Baidu from 2004 to 2011. After the departure from Baidu, Song joined Meilishuo as chief architect of products and the leader of mobile products. Song holds a bachelor degree of computer science from Sun Yat-Sen University and a master degree from Peking University.
